A large mosque under construction and completely financed by the local community is progressing slowly in the middle of the city. The building is the node of a large urban planning project with Boulevard leading to the shore, green areas, squares and varies new buildings around.
The superstructure is built in RC and roofed by trussed steel structure, while the external walls are erected with local yellow sandstone bricks. For the interior the client wanted a fully prefabricated system to be realised in UAE and shipped complete with finishes ready for site installation.
UHPC moulded panels for the columns, vaulted ceiling and window grills have been fore seen, while the walls with large FRP panels.
